This website is operated by Dr Danelle Prytherch working as a sole trader under the name ‘modern mind talking therapy’. Your privacy is extremely important to me and therefore I encourage all users to read this policy carefully.

Confidentiality

The personal information you share will be kept securely. All clinical notes are kept to the minimum necessary. I use ‘Write Upp’ practice management software (Please see https://www.writeupp.com/security for more information) to manage personal and clinical information. Some anonymised information may be shared in clinical supervision, which is fundamental to good therapeutic practice.

As an accredited member of the HCPC I adhere to their ethical framework and guidelines for professional practice. Confidentiality will be broken if I have concerns that you or anyone else is at risk. If this occurs attempts will be made to discuss this with you and recommendations will be made and documented in your notes.

Data Retention

Your information is kept for the time necessary to provide the therapy service requested. Outside of this, I will hold your details and session notes for a period of 7 years following the end of treatment in order to comply with legal obligations.

Communication

If you want to correspond with me via email, it is important to note that I cannot guarantee the security of information held outside of our own email providers’ servers. If you are concerned about sharing sensitive information via email, please ensure you encrypt it in an email attachment. If you proceed to email me after reading this, I will take this as confirmation that you have considered the risks and consent to share information by email.
