Perinatal

The interventions I offer are always personalised, but examples of some of the difficulties I have experience in supporting are:  

  • Birth trauma

  • Difficulties in the transition to parenthood

  • Having a space to think about your own childhood and how this influences your own parenting

  • Issues with confidence and returning to work postnatally

  • Maternal Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Strong emotions during pregnancy or after birth such as antenatal and postnatal anxiety and depression

This is not an exhaustive list and remember it is not necessary to have a formally diagnosed mental health problem to seek support.

As an integrative practitioner, I individually tailor therapy drawing upon evidenced-based therapies including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Mentalizing-Based Therapy (MBT) - Reflective Parenting

  • Mindfulness based cognitive therapy
